Mechanical tests, including tensile strength, insulation adhesion tests on low voltage aerial bundled cables, and hot set tests on samples of cross-linked polyethylene (XLPE) insulation.

Acceptance tests, including construction and dimensional measurements, measurement of insulation resistance and conductor resistivity, mechanical properties of polymers both before and after ageing, measurement of zinc and aluminium coating thickness, insulation adhesion tests on low voltage aerial bundled cable (LVABC) and examination for and characterisation of voids and contaminants in polymeric cable insulation.
